i looooooove my american apparel "amish skirt" to the max. heh. it's a maxi skirt in full glory, complete with pleats, and even glimmers in the sun! what more could a girl want?! but in all seriousness, i've worn this with almost every top in my closet. button-up, sweatshirt, dressy blouse, v-neck tee, tank top... you get the point. get yours --> here.

had a hot date with my essie polishes again. meow! this nail art diddy has been dubbed "metallic french". honestly, this french manicure was a pain in my ____! [bottom, that is] // it's an insane undertaking to paint a straight line on white polish. trust me [unless your a nail pro] // thus, this bit of nail art falls into the "advanced" category for you DIY-ers out there // give yourself plenty of time + a glass of wine :)

sometimes it's just a menswear day. i dig androgyny. i mean, let me re-phrase that. i dig androgyny as it pertains to tuxedo tops, drop crotch pants, blazers, and the like. probably definitely not in the "beauty" department though. i've been stuck on my cat liner [see photo #2] for as long as i can remember [tutorial here]. plus, when it comes to hair -- bigger is better [obviously]. this is my ode-to-mufasa do, topped off with fly-aways galore! heh.

totally listening to whitney houston's "i wanna dance with somebody" while typing this. the epitome of adorable in that music video. for realz. the 80s frizzed-out hair, electric eye makeup... not to mention those outfits! what a sad loss for the music community...

i wasn't planning on paying homage to the 80s today [promise]. the acid washed jeans just happened organically! ;) and yes, yes i'm once again wearing my default leather jacket. if you knew how bloody cold it was here, you'd understand why i simply cannot take it off for the sake of a photo. [insert shivers here]

sooooo apparently CNN is now covering the nail art craze that's been sweeping the nation. this is news in the making, one coat of polish at a time [lol]. you'll never catch me with talons, gems, or rhinestones though. i prefer my nail art to be minimalistic and practical. 

still obsessed with color blocked nails here...

for you nails enthusiasts out there -> i'm going to let you in on my new secret weapon: the miraculous drip dry! after your final coat + top coat, add 1-2 drops of drip dry to each nail. your nails will be dry within 5 minutes! i was a skeptic at first, but this stuff is legit. get it!

[yesterday] 

this was my attire for a "birth-month" coffee date w/my dear friend bretton. then ross treated me to dinner/vino at a local wine bar, along with sweet treats and a movie! i love my husband! did i mention he made my favorite breakfast yesterday morning too?? 

sooo... ta-da! my birthday outfit. nothing too fancy-shmansy. just relaxed, comfy, and tucked [note: the boots, the shirt]... including my new geometric rings that i adore. i love them so much i had to wear more than one...

yeesh! sorry loves about my lack of posts. last week i had the choice between sleep and blogging. obviously i chose sleep. hehe. plus, yesterday was my 26th birthday (woot woot) so this week has been one loooooong celebration... which is perfectly fine for me! let's carry on the festivities through the month, eh? ;)
